“True Stories of Fame, Failure, and the Faithfulness of God” ~
artworks by Ron Nordyke

Art Show at the Petrified Wood Gallery June 1 – July 3. Gallery is open to the public weekly Monday – Friday 10:00 – 2:00.

The stories recounted in this show are from events in my life, or stories I’ve learned in the scriptures. The characters were not flawless, but God was involved in their lives in an intimate way. We each have a life story of interconnected events, sometimes seemingly random, that make us who we are and who we will be. The Spirit of God is with us always. I hope you will see yourselves in some of the events and relationships pictured here. RN

We are very saddened with the passing of Harvey Kenfield. He and Howard left a legacy to be enjoyed by all for many more years. Their presence in the gallery was always very very special; even though they will not be there, their exquisite creations will live on.

View Harvey Kenfield's obituary, send flowers and find service dates or sign the guestbook.

Sometimes, as we read history, we come across a quote that rings as true today as it did 150 years ago.
"We are all afflicted with drowsiness, partly in consequence of having so little time to sleep, partly owing to the climate. It is dreadful. ... While riding along in the carriage, it is with the greatest effort we can keep awake. ...This morning every soul in the carriage was asleep at once, and the horses going along as they pleased." - Rebecca Ketchum describing the journey along the Platte River Valley, 1853.
Mrs. Margaret Frink (1850) even chimed in stating: "The road is a little monotonous. The scenery does not change much."
Some things apparently never change.
