It is the museum’s goal to collect artifacts that paint a historical picture of the diversity related to the establishment and development of our Western ethic, including those accessories that are peculiar to the American Cowboy. Eventually, the museum will include a research center that will contain photographs and histories, oral and written, documenting Utah’s Western culture and its people. A

library of books and materials detailing the various facets of western settlement will also be available to researchers and the public.

Today we celebrate the incredible women of the western industry.

From the arena to the ranch, from behind the scenes to center stage, women have played a vital role in preserving and advancing the traditions of the American West. Their strength, leadership, and dedication continue to shape the legacy we honor.

The Utah Cowboy Hall of Fame is proud to recognize and celebrate the remarkable women who have helped build our western heritage.

Happy International Women’s Day! 🤠✨

🐎✨ Happy Lunar New Year – Honoring the Horse ✨🐎

As we celebrate the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Horse, we’re reminded of the powerful role the horse has played across cultures and throughout history.

The horse represents strength, freedom, loyalty, and perseverance. In the American West, the horse was — and still is — an essential partner, shaping ranching, rodeo, and the cowboy way of life. In Lunar New Year traditions, the horse symbolizes energy, confidence, hard work, and forward momentum.

At the Utah Cowboy Hall of Fame, we proudly honor that enduring partnership and the spirit the horse represents.

Here’s to a year driven by determination, courage, and progress. 🐴✨

A poem by Bob Urry
"Tonight, we celebrate the cowboy and the life the cowboy lives.
They're a symbol of America
By the services they give

Cowboys ain't short on etiquette
Things society thinks we lack
We have real food at the one end
And charcuterie in the back

This is quite an honor
You don't get here just by chance
These cowboys not only walk the walk
They can dang sure dance the dance

This is the Cowboy Hall of Fame
They're Utah's very best
They've lived the cowboy lifestyle
And passed the judges test

We have cowboys that can spin a yarn
Recite and rhyme it too
And no one does it better
Than my good friend Sam Deleeuw

She's 100% a country gal
But she wears some different hats
and she is always spreading sunshine
No matter where she's at

She's been all around the country
Reciting poems and telling jokes
Rhyming stories about the cowboy life
To scores of western folks

We have the Diamond Fork riding club
Since nineteen forty two
Being inducted for their way of life
And the awesome things they do

They have rodeos and buckaroo shows
And a "Veterans ride of Honor"
Some rides they take are all day long
And some are even longer

Their charity is unparalleled With scholarships for kids
And legal fees for wayward youth
For the foolish things they did

We have Kaycee Field the rodeo star
A six time world champ
He was influenced by his father
But he's earned the legend stamp

Though rodeo is his profession
And he rides at every chance
His favorite time is family time
When he's back home on the

The induction in the Hall of Fame
For the life success he's had
Has earned his place in history
Alongside of his dad

Quinn Kesler was born to be a cowboy
He grew up packing a rope
He learned to rope with his father
To be a champion his long range hope

And Quinn loved training horses
He was gifted with the touch
But ropin was his passion
ropin heads and heals and such

He won everything in highschool
Then off to the NFR
He was a ropin either ender
Which made him quite a star

Now nothing is more cowboy
Than to ride a bucking bull if you're one who loves excitement
You will get a belly full

Kelly Whalen rode a bunch of them And he won a lot of shows
He's rode everything with hide and hair
From the racetrack to rodeos

He's a credit to our way of life
He's a cowboy to the core
Hitchin hair and braiding rawhide
Has all cowboys wanting more

These folks tonight are cowboys best
They're a credit to their name
They have earned their place in history"
