😎 RADICAL JOY 😎

Opening June 5th!

What does joy look like in difficult times?

Radical Joy explores joy as something we actively create — through healing, resistance, creativity, connection, and self-expression. This exhibition brings together the work of OCA Artist Factory Teaching Artists and students, highlighting how art can become a space for identity, experimentation, and shared growth.

Featuring Teaching Artists:
🎨 Alix Twiggs Wright
🎨 Bianca Velasquez
🎨 Andrew Rice
🎨 Liz Rhodes

Through collage, beadwork, wearable art, and mixed media, these artists and their students explore motherhood, memory, identity, imagination, and the power of making together.

Created through partnerships with Youth Impact, Utah Neighborhood Connection, the YCC Family Crisis Center, and the OCA Artist Factory Studio, the exhibition reflects the many ways joy can be built and sustained — even in uncertain times.

👯 Joy can be collaborative.
🫟 Joy can embrace imperfection.
✊ Joy can be an act of resistance.
