Calling all artists!
We’re teaming up with Weber County RAMP for a unique plein air competition celebrating the beauty of Weber County.

Instead of everyone painting the same familiar landmarks, each artist will be assigned their own zone within the county to explore and interpret in their own way. From mountain views to quiet streets, open fields to hidden corners — every perspective will be different.

Whether you’re an experienced plein air painter or trying it for the first time, we’d love to see how you capture Weber County through your eyes!

Our plein air competition is coming up! For those new to it, "plein air" painting means creating artwork outdoors, capturing the scene right in front of you—but this competition has a twist: each artist is assigned a unique zone to explore and interpret in Weber County. We can’t wait to see what you create!
*This special project is sponsored by Weber County RAMP

We’re honored to share that Pat has been recognized with the Crystal Bowl Award from Weber County!

We’re incredibly grateful to be part of such a supportive and engaged community. The encouragement, participation, and generosity we see every day make our work possible.

Thank you to our community, our supporters, and everyone who shows up, participates, and believes in what we’re building together. This means a lot to all of us.

We have a NEW competition coming up next month! Explore the depth and range of a single color for "Art in Red". Create an original work using ONLY shades of red - NO other colors allowed, even straight black and white - and discover how much can be said within a single palette.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRY: FRIDAY, MAY 29th. Works may be turned in during the Memorial Day week. *Please note we will be closed on Memorial Day. Registration is open now on our website.

FAQs:

- Can I use black or white in my painting?
- Not as standalone colors. Black and white should not be prominent elements in the piece. A white surface (such as paper or canvas) is fine, but the artwork itself should be composed of red.

- Can I use black, white, or other colors to adjust my red paint?
- Yes. You may use other colors to mix and modify your red, as long as the final result reads as a shade of red.

- Is there a subject matter requirement?
- No. Artists are free to choose any subject matter.

- Is digital art accepted?
- Yes, as long as the work is created entirely by the artist using a stylus/tablet. Found graphics, altered photographs, pre-existing digital images, or AI-generated work will not be accepted.
