I spend hours and hours in front of a screen. When a piece I've been working on is finally printed—it's thrilling. When my eyes are sore and my back is stiff, I get up and go to my sewing machine. Thank you Cottage Whimsey for the inspiring fabrics. A finished bag is the MOST thrilling.

The New England Museum Association has awarded the Florence Griswold Museum two First Place prizes.

One for the Visitor Guide in the Supplementary category (designed by Two Sisters Design) and one for the Dana Sherwood: Animal Appetites and Other Encounters in Wildness in the Exhibition Catalogue (A splendid and gorgeous book).

Overall, the winning submissions from eleven categories impressed the judges with their sophisticated simplicity, vibrant colors, and clever design. This year the competition included 203 submissions from 60 museums. Publications spanned the years 2020–2023, since the awards program was paused during the Covid-19 pandemic.
