Hello everyone, this will be our last post from the gallery as the building was sold last week. Maphis & I would like to thank again all the wonderfully talented & creative artists who made that huge space so beautiful. The continued support of many people after Maryann Connelly's passing in 2021 was amazing. A big thank you goes to her husband Michael as he knew Red Queen was her happy place & could not let it go since it was such an asset to the town. The Connelly's & their generosity to Onancock did not go unnoticed & we were so proud to be a part of it all. Wishing the new owners the best as they give this old building some TLC. Danny Doughty has his colorful work at The Blue Crow in Painter & will continue his online orders. Many have asked if Red Queen will be moving to another location, the answer is no. We feel we are ending the gallery on a high note & after 18 years it is time. In honor of Maryann I will be posting her photo plus a few of her many Queenie Sketches which she enjoyed doing so much. An end to an era, however change can also be a positive thing for the community.
