Today was a banner day at the Orrville, Ohio History and Information Center. We got a couple of volunteers, put them right to work, and I was right there in the trenches with them.It was a daunting task.

We had to move a whole bunch of heavy antiques out of one storage area and into another room on the same floor. The items were heavy, hard to reach, and just a general pain in the ass to move.

These guys really stepped up to the plate and did a fantastic job.

Dougy Do is on the right (as you face them) wearing the green shirt. That's my boy!

Fuzz is on the left (as you face the picture). That's my buddy!

These guys are just great, and I am definitely having them back. There was absolutely no complaining, and they didn't even ask for pizza. I was actually a little sad about that because I wanted a pizza!

Instead, they got a candy bar, a Nutri-Grain bar, and a t-shirt.

They are truly the greatest newbie assistant part time trainees of all time.

They didn't know much about my collection beforehand; they were just there to help out.

Today I had two volunteers help with some major organizing and tidying up of two rooms at the OOHIC main archive building.

Our main goal was a very important part of maintaining a collection with the size, scope, and value ours has. Keep things safe in totes, group like items together, mark boxes and totes so unpacking in the new building is easy.

My goal was, of course, FIND the GAME of ORRVILLE!

Found the sealed copy. And the people rejoiced.

My Game of Orrville design kit has arrived. These are sample board layouts that match the overall idea and the characteristics of the Wheeler Dealer game.

From this we start customizing and move on to cards, tokens, houses, hotels, bankers tray and dice.

I plan to opt for 40 spaces which is standard. These spaces are for local businesses to purchase the rights to put their name and logo on.

Initial discussions include 5 spaces to be reserved by OOHIC.

The name may change from Game of Orrville to one you suggest. Don't put your ideas in the chat. Keep them for now. I will have a Name of the Game announcement and instructions to submit later.

Businesses, post your thoughts on this medium for advertising. Remember, most of the folks that acquire the game are local

Citizens, we hope you follow our progress, we will collect your ideas later but feel free to express general thoughts in comments.

The great Prescription sign restoration project is complete. Seifried's Drug displayed this sign for years in the front window facing Market St.

I was very happy to receive this donation along with many other vintage items from the store. Thank you Steven Seifried for thinking of us at OOHIC and trusting us to preserve your items with great care.
