Halloween at Mini is tomorrow!!

Please keep in mind we are doing 2 hour time slots for this event! No reservation needed, just come at the beginning of one of the time slots listed!

We will have a small “trick or treat” a costume parade, costume contest with prize for each winner (one winner per time slot) potion making, crafts and playtime!

Don’t forget to dress the kids up in their costumes and come have a spooky time with us! 👻🎃

Mini Mushrooms friends, we need your help! ❤️

One of our Mini Mushrooms families has had their world turned upside down overnight after a devastating house fire. 💔

Kayla and Jake Sladewski and their three young children lost all of their belongings in the fire at their home on Kale Boulevard south of Fairfield. The family is currently staying with relatives in Ottumwa but hopes to return to Fairfield as soon as possible to make the commute to school and work easier.

If you’ve spent any time at Mini Mushrooms, there’s a good chance you’ve seen the Sladewski family playing, making memories, and enjoying time together. You may also recognize their beloved Kind Earth products, which we’re proud to carry in our store!

This family means so much to us. They are truly some of the sweetest people, and it breaks our hearts to know they’re going through something so devastating. No family should ever have to experience something like this.

Right now, they need their community to rally around them. If you have clothing you’re able to donate or feel led to contribute financially, any little bit of help would mean so much to their family as they begin navigating the difficult days ahead.

Among their most immediate needs are clothing, rain boots, winter boots, athletic shoes, winter coats, sweaters, pants, shirts, underwear, socks, winter hats and rain gear. Previously loved clothing is welcome.

Children’s clothing and shoe sizes are as follows: the oldest child (boy) wears a size 7 in clothes and Youth size 3 in shoes; the middle child (girl) wears a size 5 in clothes and Toddler size 12 in shoes; and the youngest (girl) wears a size 4 in clothes and Toddler size 10 in shoes.

Clothing donations can be left on the porch at 600 S. Main Street in Fairfield. Or brought to Mini Mushrooms where we will ensure they get to the family. Monetary donations can be made through the family’s GoFundMe page.

Let’s show the Sladewski family just how much love and support surrounds them. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this post can help spread the word, too!

Our fall center is finally here! 🍂

We’re sad to say goodbye to our summer campsite, but don’t worry it’ll be back next year! For now, we’re embracing all things fall! Come rake some leaves, pick pumpkins, and make some pie. 🥧🍁

There’s a first for everything!! Never in a million years did we imagine we’d be celebrating a 99th birthday at Mini Mushrooms! 🎂 What an honor to be part of such a special milestone. We’re already looking forward to celebrating Ruby Alice’s 100th birthday with us next year!! 💜🎉

This party also opted to add some extra treats and a sheet cake for an additional cost! A huge thank-you to Ashbys bakery and icecream shop.for baking these goodies and helping make the celebration even sweeter! 🍰
