There are so many things to consider when choosing where to live: which level of care fits best with your needs, what are the cultures, staff, and amenities like, is it located close to family or necessary doctor’s offices, and what’s best financially?

But choosing a senior community is only part of the journey. Transitioning into that community is another adventure entirely - and that’s where we come in 🤍

Senior Move Managers help older adults and their families plan, organize, and manage every aspect of a relocation. SMMs are both guides and coordinators who understand the logistics of moving AND the emotional weight that comes with it.

A wonderful testimonial and reminder of why we do this line of work! 🩵

We recently helped a client move from her long-time home of her independent living apartment to an assisted living apartment within the same community. She knew this was a necessary move but was still met with apprehension. Receiving this update from her daughter made our day! Her mom was able to reestablish that quality of life she had been missing out on - and that’s what this is all about.

Senior Moves Services knows it’s so much more than “just a move” - as move managers we are guides, coordinators, and an emotional support team for all involved.

Come along for some spring cleaning without any trendy audio!

Our storage closet is an area we always avoid… so we took advantage of the weather and got it done! 🧹☀️💪🏻

When sorting, we always use different colored tape:
✅ green = keep
🟡 yellow = donate

Surprisingly, this turned into a fun afternoon for us! We uncovered old sports gear we’re excited to use again, many childhood and teenage memories/momentos of Dave’s, and even some items we can turn around and sell on FB Marketplace or EBay 👍🏻 One of the best parts was finding a very sentimental family item that represents Dave’s grandparents (Grandpa Henry was the whole reason Senior Move Services started!) 💙

We gave our space a clean sweep and a good wipe down. Reorganized with labels and made sure everything was easily accessible. Then boxed up our donation items and took them to a local organization near by!

Spring cleaning is such a great way to take back control of your spaces, and reduce the stress and anxiety that comes with clutter.

Remember these quick tips as you tackle your own homes:

❇️ Start somewhere small! It helps build confidence and momentum.
❇️ Finish one area/room before moving on to the next, it’s easy to get sidetracked!
❇️ Utilize specific designations for each pile such as keep/donate/sell/trash.
