The Mission of the Shiawassee County Historical Society is:

Collect and preserve biographical sketches, statistics...historical facts, and reminiscences which are fast fading from memory." Collect and preserve such information as may be available in the field of genealogy connected with the Shiawassee County area; and to disseminate such information. Encourage all projects, celebrations and other

activities which tend to spread correct information concerning the history of the Shiawassee County area. Accept gifts of money, historical documents and artifacts, property, grants-in-aid or other monies offered the Society from whatever source. Engage in activities that promote the purposes and objective of the Society.

The Shiawassee County Historical Society will present a program by Dr. David Hall on Nov. 27th at 2:00 P. M. Dr. Hall will speak about antique radios and the impacts they had on the public. The Museum is handicap accessible and masks are optional.
As an electrical engineer, physics and electronics teacher, in his first career and now an experienced therapist, Dr. hall will provide his listeners and interesting perspective from a technical and cultural point of view. The content for this presentation has been the result of his own insights generated as he continues to restore antique radios and other vintage audio equipment. he will use radios he has restored in the demonstrations of the technical concepts Being presented. Listeners will only need their fife experiences to understand the electronics and the cultural impact that will be explained.
