There is still lots to do before the LPB can participate once again in local events. We still need to do the work that Ted has indicated above and then it may be time to put the ship back in the water. Perhaps a first shakedown cruise to ensure that LPB is "bayworthy". After that, the masts and booms will be installed and rigged. Then come the sails and perhaps another shake down cruise.

When ready, the City By the Sea Museum hopes to coordinate the relaunch with a local event. Some folks are hoping that this will all happen in time for the Taste of Palacios on October 26th, which is only one month away. A lot has to happen for that to work out. Also, mother nature may have a say in all of this. Keep your fingers crossed, or better yet, volunteer and help make it happen.

There will be no workdays next weekend (Sept 12,13,14) but will resume the following weekend.  Thurs, I may not be here ...
