Florida Agricultural Legacy Learning Center has been hosting "Food Truck Fridays on the Farm" since April as a monthly community outreach project. Held on the third Friday of each month from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the event features food trucks, an artisan market, live entertainment, and a free kids' zone.

We are seeking student volunteers for these events. This is a productive and fun way for students to earn community service hours required for programs like Bright Futures. Additionally, we offer fundraising opportunities for school clubs or sports organizations interested in hosting a pop-up booth.

Volunteer shifts are available between 3:00 PM and 9:30 PM. Opportunities include:

- Guest Services / Information
- Guest Count
- Florida Ag Museum Booth
- Entertainment Assistant (Stage Hand)
- Parking Attendant
- Kids Zone Attendant
- Set-up Crew (assist vendors with set up and answering questions)
- Break-down / Clean-up Crew

Our upcoming dates in 2026 are:

- December 18, 2026

Get ready for a spooktacular day of family fun at the Florida Agricultural Legacy Learning Center! 🧡🖤

Bring your little monsters, witches, ghosts, superheroes, and favorite costumed characters to the farm on October 31st from 10 AM–4 PM for a family-friendly fright-fest filled with old-fashioned fun, Halloween treats, and plenty of opportunities to make memories together!

WHAT A DAY IN OLD FLORIDA! 🌾🏛️❤️

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the inaugural A Day in Old Florida such a memorable experience at the Florida Agricultural Legacy Learning Center!

From living history demonstrations and cultural storytelling to historical encampments, traditional skills, and the Trading Post, Saturday was a wonderful opportunity to step back in time and experience the people, stories, and traditions that helped shape our state's rich history.

A very special thank-you to our event coordinator, Jim Sawgrass, for helping bring this vision to life, and to all the historical interpreters, period participants, demonstrators, artisans, and vendors who generously shared their knowledge, talents, and passion for Florida's past.

And, of course, thank you to everyone who came out to explore, learn, ask questions, support our participants, and spend the day with us across our beautiful 460-acre property. Your enthusiasm and support made this inaugural event a success!

History comes alive when people are willing to share their stories, preserve traditional skills, and help the next generation connect with the past. We're grateful to everyone who played a part in making that happen.

AND THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING! 🎉

We're already looking forward to welcoming you back for A Day in Old Florida in January 2028! We hope you'll join us again for another opportunity to explore Florida's history, celebrate its diverse heritage, and make memories with family and friends.

THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY AT THE FARM!

Friday night’s Food Truck Friday at the Florida Agricultural Legacy Learning Center was another wonderful reminder of what makes our community so special.

From delicious food and talented local vendors to live music and family fun, we loved seeing so many of you come out to support our local food trucks, artists, makers, and craftspeople. Thank you for spending another wonderful Friday evening with us!

We enjoyed an incredible variety of delicious offerings, from BBQ to Lumpia, burgers to mochi, pizza to gelato, and so much more. There truly was something for everyone!

The kids enjoyed making memories in the bounce houses, and we enjoyed seeing our community come together, share meals, and enjoy one another’s company. It is what these events are all about.
To everyone who attended, supported our vendors, grabbed a bite, or simply came out to enjoy the evening: Thank you! Your support helps us continue creating meaningful opportunities for our community to gather, connect, and celebrate local talent and enterprise.
