The Michael Weems Collection Art and Home Let us welcome you to a new collection of porcelain dishes unlike any you have seen before. by American artists. It was an instant success.

Each porcelain piece is individually designed and crafted by Michael Weems and Rigo Maldonado in Palm Springs, California, U.S.A. All tabletop pieces are specially fired in a kiln, rendering them food and dishwasher safe. Beyond the beauty of the artwork that we have created on the pieces, we believe it is important to also appreciate that they are made in the U.S.A. Very few tabletop collections

are made in the U.S.A. in our current times, as most work is now sent overseas. Michael Weems partnered with Rigo Maldonado on this collection and launched it in their gallery in Palm Springs, California in the fall of 2011. Many retailers vacationing in Palm Springs visited the gallery, and they wanted to carry the collection in their own retail stores throughout the nation. This continued interest in the collection has brought this catalog to fruition. We want to bring a collection of porcelain dishes to the table that are not only brought out for special dining events or parties, but pieces that can also gracefully function for daily use. Additionally, we have created the collection so that it can be grouped together into a thematic collection and displayed on the wall as art. Ten years ago, when Michael Weems first introduced a new trend in tabletop with his etched glass collections, it took the world by storm. Now Michael and Rigo are doing it again…

Happy Saturday! It’s been 15 years since I stopped creating my glassware and crystal Collections and I have officially launched my new collections at Galleries yesterday!

I have spent the last year working on this lead free crystal stemware and barware. Martini’s, champagne flutes, double old fashioned’s, balloon wines are first pieces in the Galleries in two patterns. “Swirl” and “Trellis” both in 9 beautiful colors. All mouth blown in my studio, signed and dated by me. Stop by and say hi. I’m so excited to be back creating these pieces….
