This is Maria. She's been making ceramics at Cosanti since 1976. Today she mostly specializes in making dynamic bells that combine ceramic pieces with a bronze bell.

When asked if she has a favorite piece, she says every piece is like a child, so she can't possibly choose one.

Outside of Cosanti, Maria makes jewelry, dishes and plates, and paints with watercolors.

Happy Monday! Did you know that there is a tree going through the ceiling of the barrel vaults?

Due to the heat this week, our bronze pours will be at 9:30am and 10:30am all week, except for Wednesday. There will be no bronze pour on Wednesday.

There will also be no tour Wednesday and Thursday!

✨ Employee Spotlight ✨

Working at Cosanti for a year now, Cat was first pulled in by her fascination of our bells. She works in our ceramics department, making both bells and tiles. In her work, she is inspired by movement and different muses in nature. Some of her favorite pieces have been of different desert critters. In her free time, she creates paintings and makes her own personal ceramic pieces as well.
