Sometimes, you have to be your own hero. Cinderella is that example for me. Full of quiet confidence, meekness in servanthood, even, graceful honesty and goodness in the face of evil and hate. She faced giants of persecution and never let her own losses pull her downward in self pity. She had a fairy god- mother, yet her character was never changed by her circumstance or victories. She was simply, Cinderella. My first fairytale, and always my favorite.
