The mission of the Heritage Center is to collect, preserve, interpret and display our diverse local historical artifacts dating back to the early years of Paris and all of Henry county. Paris is the oldest city in West Tennessee and has a rich past in culture, industry; everything from military, fashion, music, and many tradesmen work. , publications, technology, and much more. The Heritage Center is located in the former home of O.C. O.C Barton was a highly successful businessman, and the first millionaire of Paris at the turn of the century. Cavitt Place is located in the Poplar Street Historic District which is filled with well maintained, beautifully designed, palatial homes. Take a stroll down North Poplar street from the court square to see the "Crown Jewel of West Tennessee". We are open to you Thursday through Sunday 10-4 and on Sunday 1-4. Our facility is available for you to rent for your next special occasion any time and any day of the week. We look forward to your visit!
