This week, our town of Paris was graced with the presence of Mr. Jim Lockhart. At 88 years old, Mr. Lockhart embarked on a heartfelt journey back to his roots. As he strolled through the familiar streets, memories of his childhood came flooding back, especially upon visiting the Heritage Center. Once home to our County Health Department, this building served as a cornerstone of his early years. It was here that he was born, and now, standing as a beacon of our town's rich history, it warmly welcomed him back. Having attended Lee School as a child, his visit was not just a trip down memory lane but a celebration of the community that shaped him. This heartfelt homecoming was a testament to the enduring connection one can have with the place where their life’s journey began.
