If you were to walk across these deserted plains in Western Australia, it would be a completely different story. A bit dusty, a bit flat, and maybe not much to look at from the ground. But from above? That’s where the magic happens.

Growing up on the beaches in Australia, I thought I knew what a sunset by the ocean felt like. But Standing on Cannon Beach in Oregon on a freezing fall afternoon was a completely different story.

The crisp, cold air and dramatic shoreline were a total contrast to what I was used to. I didn't plan for the chill, but watching the last golden light hit the sand made every cold minute worth it.

I’ve always been fascinated by the way Antelope Canyon feels like a completely different world.

Every sweeping curve in these walls was carved out over countless years by rainwater and sand rushing through the narrow sandstone passageways during monsoon season. It smoothed down every hard edge until the rock itself started to look like flowing water. Standing down in the quiet, watching the light hit those soft corridors... it’s one of those sights you just don't forget. Mother Nature really took her time with this one.

The ocean has a way of reminding you who’s in charge. I captured this at Cape Naturaliste in South Western Australia, watching the rising tide slam into the rocky coastline. It’s a thrilling thing to stand there and witness that kind of raw power. But what really made the moment for me was the contrast. While the waves were churning and swallowing up the rocks right in front of me, the setting sun was turning the sky a perfectly calm, peaceful pink. Nature is funny like that—complete chaos and total peace all in the same frame. Not a bad way to end the day.

Didn’t expect this trip to bring back quite so many memories, to be honest. This scene was captured in Yallingwup, Australia, during a visit back home with my kids. Watching them stand by the ocean and appreciate the wild water the same way I did growing up was a moment I won't soon forget. Sometimes the best part of an image isn't just the view itself, but the feeling of sharing it with the people you love.
