I was pleased to be invited to bring two of my father’s Pot Paintings to the Heritage of the Americas Museum in San Diego (El Cajon) for Noah Sandberg’s talk about Kasinas. The museum will be exhibiting the paintings for the next six months. They will be the only watercolors on display. I wish I could call my father to tell him about this; this museum is the ideal venue for his unique series.

There's something about BLUE BOATS! Oil 11 x 14" by Julie Snyder, Founder of Workshops in France! As Julie tells it: "Boats at Cassis: The Mediterranean coast of Provence is famous for its beautiful coastline. There still are coastal villages where these little fishing boats are moored in the port. They are called “pointu”.
I painted this en plein air with a focus on drawing, shape and value. I finished it in the studio using my iPad for reference. The photo image was on 'live" setting and in constant motion, almost like real life. The flags fluttered and the boats bobbed as the setting was “looped”."
