Patagonia Holiday Art Walk Update

Hello Beautiful Friends!
Anne here, co-owner of Patagonia Trading Post, coming at you with more Art Walk news! I know it may seem too early to think about the holidays, what with temps pushing into the 100’s and skies clouding up with life giving monsoon rains (BTW, thank you Mother Nature, it’s been an awesome monsoon season!). But anyone who has been anywhere near the retail world knows you have to start now to prepare! And if you’re the world' s most procrastinating procrastinator (like me), you better start now or else plan on sleepless nights, anxiety, and not having things turn out as you had hoped. Anyhow, enough about my perceived mental state (LOL), here’s where we’re at as of today…
Since we first posted about the 2026 Art Walk a couple weeks ago, things have already ramped up. The website has been updated, as well as the artists’ application which can be returned by mail (check only) or brought into the store (cash, check, or credit card). I’m so excited, I have already received feedback from repeat artists and at least 4 new artists!
A huge shout out to our co-sponsor; Patagonia Lumber Co. What a wonderful addition! Co-owners Wendy and Keith went way above and beyond. And as per last year, they will have bands lined up both days, food, and vendors will be set up there, as well. We will update as info becomes available.
Finally, something new this year, something that truly makes my heart happy in a time where we have to grasp and hold tight to any ounce of positivity we can. Two local non-profits, Patagonia Creative Arts Association/Tin Shed Theater (PCAA) and Voices From The Border are coming together to invite community members to participate in the creation of an interactive multimedia exhibit aiming to highlight both the beauty and complexities of living in this area of the borderlands. The installation of this exhibit will take place during the Holiday Art Walk weekend. This art and humanities project seeks the perspectives, input, and ideas of any and all in our border region who wish to contribute to the creation of the exhibit, which will be titled: THE BORDER SPEAKS: TRUTH & BEAUTY. We went to the first meeting yesterday and let me tell you, this is going to be something special that you won’t want to miss if you’re in the area.
