Today’s artist spotlight goes to Angelica Clyman.

“Each work begins with a memory - either mine or a shared memory from someone else longing to reconnect to the past. I visit and research the site, and through my work, I strive to reveal the unique history of these spaces, creating a place for the memories to live on.”

Come see their work, "Birk House" at The Frank, on view until August 29th.

Today’s artist spotlight goes to Josh Aronson.

“I work across analog and digital processes, often beginning with research, scouting, and planning, then leaving room for improvisation and chance. My photographs frequently extend beyond the wall into installations, using materials such as scaffolding, fabric, assemblage, and multi-channel video to place images in conversation with architecture and public space. I am interested in images not only as representations, but as environments that viewers move through and encounter together.”

Come see their work, "Puddle" at The Frank, on view until August 29th.

Today’s artist spotlight goes to Erika Montoya.

“My working method involves counting, correlating measurements, and utilizing the
square—practices rooted, in part, in the tradition of creating sewing patterns. I prefer to
base my work on a standard unit of measurement; typically, I begin with one inch. I
employ various measuring instruments, which I also collect."

"Ultimately, I am interested in the ways in which the use of the grid is intimately linked to
melancholy and the act of calm resistance.”

Come see their work, "Melancolia" at The Frank, on view until August 29th.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening reception of Monumentalizing the Trace and Perseverance. It was wonderful to see our galleries activated by so many artists, friends, collaborators, and members of our community ✨

A special thank you to the exhibiting artists, our curatorial team, staff, partners, and everyone who helped bring these exhibitions to life. Nights like these remind us that exhibitions truly come alive through the people who gather around them.

Both exhibitions are now on view through August 29 here at The Frank. Come visit Wed-Sun 11am-5pm.
