The Chair Affair at Gallery 119

The Chair Affair at Gallery 119 The Chair Affair art by Pendleton Artists Society. Antique chairs thanks to The Bank Restaurant turned into works of art.

The "Chair Affair" is an upcoming chair auction/fund raiser, using 100 year old chairs which have been “artistically altered”. The goal is to generate money for audio visual equipment in order to enhance The Pendleton Artist Society's art education programs for children and adults in the community. We will be auctioning 30 historical Pendleton chairs, which were originally used by our local Odd Fe

llows Chapter 100 years ago, until the chairs found a home in “The Bank” restaurant. Many locals as well as their ancestors have sat in these very chairs. Garry Brammer, new owner of “The Bank”, kindly donated the chairs to PAS and we have UNLEASHED 20 artists to “artistically alter” these chairs. Nothing will escape the imagination, ingenuity and skill of these PAS artists. You may begin placing your bids on Heritage Days, Sept. 11 & 12 at Gallery 119 on State Street in Pendleton. Silent bidding begins Sept 11th & 12th, 10am-6pm
You may continue the silent bidding at the gallery (in person or by phone, 778-0986) during gallery hours, Tues.-Sat. 11-4
Nov. 14 (Christmas in Pendleton) is the final day of bidding. The auction will end on Saturday, Nov. 14, at a Christmas Party/reception at “Gallery 119” (5pm-8pm) where we will have wine, food, music and a live auctioneer to announce the winners. Here is your opportunity to find a really unique Christmas gift!!!
