📚 A Legacy Worth Preserving: Help Us Tell the Story
Did you or someone you love attend Fannie Young’s Kindergarten in Pensacola?
This special school, founded by my grandmother’s sister and taught by my grandmother herself, was more than just a classroom — it was a safe space where Black children in our community were nurtured, educated, and loved during a time when few places truly welcomed them.
We’re bringing this history back to life — one photo, one memory, one story at a time.
💬 If you or your family were part of Fannie Young’s Kindergarten, comment below, share a story, or tag someone who remembers.
🎯 Our goal?
To restore and honor this space, just like the Ella C. Jordan Home or the Chappie James Museum — turning it into a cultural landmark where children can learn their roots and the city can celebrate its legacy.
This is personal for me — and for Pensacola.
