eir legislators to reestablish the public access waiver to NAS Pensacola so all citizens are allowed to visit the National Naval Aviation Museum (NNAM), once again. Its visitors come from every state in the U.S., with more than 70 percent visiting from outside Florida. This 350,000-square-foot museum features 150 fully-restored military aircraft, thousands of artifacts and dozens of military exhibits on display, plus a giant screen movie theater, an Apollo 11 moon landing virtual reality simulator, a Blue Angels 4D interactive ride, flight simulators, cockpit trainers and a virtual flight deck. It’s an immersive, world-class museum experience whose main goal is to inspire youth and honor those who served and advanced Naval Aviation.

For the first time since a December 2019 terrorist attack on NAS Pensacola, the National Naval Aviation Museum will be open for one day to the public on June 4. It will open at 9 a.m. and visitors must enter through base’s west gate.
