Artist Update Seville: This just in Ellen Fogerty has expanded her collection of works and here ia a snapshot of the new configuration filled with new works in water color and acrylic. We have been shaking it up in Seville and it might just be time to take a trip down, up, over to see us before the Festival Season begins. Yesterday morning at Artworks we hosted a workshop on Wild life photography where participants with and sans cameras joined Shawn Riley on a short walk along Bayfront Pkwy to Same Nettles "The Sanctuary" sculpture, to the Veterans' park and we saw about 8 species of birds that we could identify and heard a few more. People seemed to enjoy the workshop so we will probably offer it again. Here is a small sample of the photos taken.

A few of our Artworks artists have been participating in an event at Luna Gallery in a show called Collaborations: The Art of Creative Partnership.

Congratulations to Artworks artists Mary Breshike, Ellen Fogerty and Lynn Huber who participated in this exercise in artistic communication with each other and other artists from the area to produce three works of art. The Shared Garden, The Garden of Growth and The Expectant seen here as presented by Coastal Lifestyles photographer and described by their writer.

Have you ever wondered what goes into taking photos of wildlife in the city?
Ever wonder where to go?
What to bring?
When the best light is going to be there for your subject if you subject bothers to show up?

Well, that consumes most of my days in the city and the wild. Artworks Pensacola is going to be hosting a workshop this Saturday at 10:30 AM and 3:30 PM to discover just that.

Where, Artworks Pensacola at the Seville Square location.
What to bring: Comfy shoes, a camera with your longest lens, a big floppy hat or sunscreen, probably bug spray too.
Subjects will be present at the discretion of Nature and she can be pretty unreliable sometimes.

But if you are willing to take that chance, put about a 1/2 mile on your comfy shoes all for the possibility of getting a chance to take that photo. Come on down to Artworks. Enjoy the music of Mary Sanford, listen to Shawn Riley ramble on about shutter speeds and framing and the hit or miss of wildlife photography, then we have a Saturday Morning for you. Oh and did we mention it is free?
