Wow, thanks Pensacola News Journal, with more great shots of our representing Historic Pensacola Village in the Fiesta Pensacola Parade.

We had the beginning of Pensacola's story with our education director as Tristan de Luna. Pensacola's colonial history with our living history volunteers and our Pensacola State College student staff representing the Lavalle Kitchen House's living history programs.

Our group tour educator represented Pensacola's British military history and a few of our University of West Florida staff represented soldiers who protected Pensacola throughout our city's history.

A few student staff opted to represent the 1920's Lear/Rocheblave House: one ready to go for a bicycle ride promoting the Suffragette cause and one ready to dance at the Lear/Rocheblave speakeasy.

Our administrative assistant represented a women in half mourning to promote our Dorr House living history program, Death and Mourning in the Victorian Age. While several more were Victorian ladies out for a stroll.

And our visitor experience manager represented the Barrios Cottage's 1940 USO as a Red Cross volunteer. Did you know next year's Bootleg Ball with be the Zaragoza Swing, a 1940's USO Canteen?

We love bringing Pensacola's history to life! This parade allowed us to share our mission and engage with so many people who may have not stepped into our museums. Thank you for helping us .

Visit Pensacola how about this love letter to Pensacola from 1823?

"Late in the afternoon of yesterday, I strolled down the street toward the water…At that hour the view down the bay is grand. The bright sun had nearly run his daily course through a calm, clear sky, in which not a cloud had crossed his path, and now approached the long, lustrous line of the western horizon, to plunge, as it seemed, beneath the sea. The day had been sufficiently warm to make the return of evening agreeable; and it was one of those delicious evenings peculiar to the climate of Florida. There was in that serenity in the heavens that lulls the mind, at the same time that the increasing elasticity of the land breeze cheers and exhilarates the spirits. The eye, too, worried by the dazzling glare of noon, found relief in wandering over the fading prospect. In front, across the bay, lay the Island of Santa Rosa, whose thick clumps of dark green Yapon-Bushes, interspersed with snow-white sand-hills, already began to lose their distinctness in the mellow shades of twilight. On the left, far way, the Escambia, the Coldwater, Whitewater, Blackwater, and Yellow-water Rivers, –verily a rare assemblage of names,-- with their host of tributaries, thence poured their united volume into the princely bay of Pensacola. "
- George McCall, January 6, 1823. From "Letters from the Frontiers."
