Check out our September Calendar! We have several programs throughout the month.

The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. As a reminder, we start alerting guests at 3:30 and 3:45 so that they can slowly acclimate children to leaving.

We try not to sell tickets later than 3:45, because younger children do not understand they have just a few minutes to explore. Sometimes it can be very upsetting to a young child when we have to close and they have had only 5 minutes to explore the exhibits.

Time is an important concept for children to learn, but we do not want them to have a negative association with the museum.

Thank you for helping your child learn through play at the Museum!

Calling all 4th graders!

A wonderful way for children to explore the wonders of our National Parks. Fourth grade families can explore the history and the natural environment at Ft. Pickens in our own backyard. Or travel the states to see all 51 National Parks. Thanks Gulf Islands National Seashore for sharing this!

Public lands and waters are living classrooms. Parents, guardians and educators of 4th graders can help get their students out into public lands to learn about it's many resources.

The Every Kid Outdoors program provides vouchers for 4th graders to receive their own FREE access pass to federal land and waters, granting free entry to over 2,000 public land sites. Passes for fourth grade students in the school year 2026-2027, will be available starting September 1st, 2026. These passes will be valid for an entire year, expiring August 31st, 2027.

Interested in helping your fourth grader get their pass? Download your voucher and redeem it at one of the Gulf Islands National Seashore entrance stations in Florida.

To learn more and download your voucher, please visit: everykidoutdoors.gov/index.htm

It is summer time. It is hot outside and children are excited to be on summer break. We love having the museum bustling with young learners, but a friendly reminder that we expect museum visitors to be respectful of museum staff, our exhibits, and our Code of Conduct.

Museums do not allow food or drink in the galleries due to the potential for damage to the exhibits. The Pensacola Children's Museum is not excluded from that policy. We allow food or drink only in the Party Room.

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your child's informal education.
