UPDATE: currently out of easels if someone doesnt pick up, I’ll update again.
EDIT: Please if you already have an easel, or have the means to buy an easel, then please let these go to individual artists who do not have an easel. If you’re a business or nfp, I’m sorry but I too had to buy easels for my classes and open studios. I want these to be for individual artists who dont have an easel and can’t easily buy one. If I wanted to just drop them off at a business or nfp I could have done that or I could have sold them. But back when I first started painting, I did it flat on a table. Then a friend noticed that I enjoyed painting and gifted me an old easel. Suddenly I felt like an artist! So please. If you just want an extra easel, or you’re a person of means to purchase one, let another person have one.
The Gallery May Be Closed, but the Spirit of Perspectives Lives On 🎨
To carry that spirit forward, I’m giving away free easels to artists who need them.
Art supplies are incredibly expensive, and it takes more than creativity to create. These are the same versatile, moveable easels I use in my own studio. They work beautifully for painting, mixed media, or whatever inspires you.
We purchased them with the hope of holding regular open studios and classes. We hosted one pastel class and two months of open studios, but no one came. So these easels have only been used once.
If you are an emerging artist, still painting at the kitchen table, or just dreaming of getting started, please come pick one up. I have nine available, and they are pick-up only in Petersburg.
