Petersburg's Friday for the Arts! for March is this evening, March 8. The weatherman says that the temperatures will start in the low forties, and drop into the mid thirties, where they will stay throughout the evening. Light showers will end by seven. Come on out!

Jan. 2016. Thank you for 'liking' or 'rating' 20 Tabb Street Studios and Gallery. The artists there have moved on to other locations in the tri-city area. Some are showing at Side Street Gallery in Colonial Heights while others of the group have opened working studios in downtown Hopewell. If you are an artist you are welcome to participate in Hopewell by dropping in to paint or by having a small studio of your own. FB contact Lane Hiers or Paintings by L Hiers for more information.

At 1:06 pm Sunday Nov 2 the lights were turned off at 20 Tabb for the last time.

Thanks is due to our landlord Mr. Gilbert Clements for taking a chance on a group of artists to occupy his building. Few property owners are as clear thinking and secure in their art knowledge as he.
We will remain in the area as individual artists, most taking studios at the Ward Center when it opens. Please look for announcements for that immense art appreciation opportunity when the building known as 'Butterworth' again hosts dozens of working artists.

The member/artists would like to thank all of our friends, patrons and each other for the opportunity to remain a community of Petersburg artists for the past 16 months.

Last night a congenial gathering celebrated the last ffta in a misty Petersburg. Artists will still be in the studios this next week Wed Thur Fri. Stop by for a chat or a final chance to acquire some really good paintings. Binford Harrell is getting regional and national rewards, and is currently working on a commission. Milly's creative powers are blooming and her works are hanging in homes all over the area. Eugene Van Gogh has exhibited widely in Richmond, Washington and Chicago. No other gallery is showing Eugene. Trudy Dunn has a large group of her paintings with us and I know that she doesnt want to take them all home. All of our artists will be moving at the end of the month so now is the time to negotiate a piece from a local working artist. Improve your home and soul - buy art.

20 Tabb will have a final (for real) Friday for the Arts Oct 10. The theme is naturally Halloween. Bring some seasonal treats. Cider and coffee will be served. Eugene Van Gogh will make a special and rare appearance.
