New in the FWM Store: Hard Feels, a handmade limited edition by Artist-in-Residence Brendan Fernandes, modeled after his Soft/Cover sculptures.

Hard Feels brings a tactile twist to the artist's ongoing exploration of body, space, and identity. Inspired by Fernandes’s ongoing dialogue with artist Scott Burton’s stone furniture, these miniatures tease the tension between hardness and softness. Evoking themes of intimacy, queerness, and desire, each “pebble” invites contemplation and touch.

UP NEXT | Step inside The Living Temple—a vibrant retrospective celebrating the boundary‑breaking Swedish artist Moki Cherry (1943–2009), whose life was her canvas. From colorful textiles, costumes, paintings, and posters to ceramics, video, and sound, Moki’s work dissolves the line between home and stage, art and everyday life.

In this largest-ever US survey of Moki's work, discover how the artist transformed unremarkable spaces into extraordinary settings.

Opens September 25. Learn more at the link in bio.

Organized in partnership with Ars Nova Workshop and The Fabric Workshop and Museum.

“We sort of imagined this as a wacky department store,” Katy Donoghue, co-curator of “Soft/Cover,” tells of the show’s installation.

It features 90 works by 65 artists, but “you really see another side of an artist that you might not expect from seeing their other work, like Lynda Benglis is known as a sculptor,” she says. In Soft/Cover, however, you get to see pants the artist created while in residence in 1980.

“Huge names in art came here and made something...they’re things that we see in our everyday life.”

3...2...1...New Artist Edition just launched!

The PPK (Pregnancy Patch Kit) by artist Aimee Koran is a small memento of the historic milestone called motherhood. This mission, for those who choose to accept it, will be a journey of a lifetime.

Originally created for her artwork, MSS (Mama Space Suit), this edition plays on both labor union and NASA patches to position the work of motherhood as vital, brave, and worthy of our reverence.

to artist Bob Bingham, whose work explores issues of consumerism, the influence of the mass media, and subliminal seduction.

As a sculptor, Bingham sets out to question our ordinary use of space and situates recognizable objects in unexpected environments. This is most clearly expressed in his Brick yardage design, which he created with the FWM Studio in 1986.

Experience this playfully deceptive design as a tent in our exhibition, . Free tickets>> https://bit.ly/FWMSoftCover
