No long caption, I promise!

Just a super proud moment as I break fast today. My first personal fast completed in its entirety in the way I committed to God. I was steadfast in the area of sacrifice but have a ways to go with the commitment of time spent in prayer & meditation daily. Y’all know I don’t miss a Devotion, but I am learning that God also want to be heard, and not just talked to (at).

Cheers! From this Bible & Art Geek. Which is so fitting because God is the first Artist…. Don’t get me started.

Gloraaaaay.

I’ve come to learn that Glory is one of my absolute favorite words, period. But in particularly in the context of God.

One of the countless benefits of consistent time spent with God and in God’s word is the Revelation that matures and spouts up on you unexpectedly like a breath of air - entering your body. The flow, the Holy Spirit in flow (or flight) will anchor you and move you all at the same time. And beautifully gift you with random insight and understanding.

For this first time when reading… your burden is light. I didn’t hear it as a description of its “weight” - it seems almost too obvious of a conclusion for a God who is word. For the first time I heard, your burden IS light - meaning having light inside of you, a light the world needs can be a burden. A burden each of us received along with the Holy Spirit.
