Bridgette Mayer Art Advisors Bridgette Mayer Art Advisors is a full service art consulting firm based in Philadelphia and Los Angeles. http://www.bridgettemayerartadvisors.com/

Bridgette Mayer founded one of Philadelphia’s preeminent contemporary galleries, Bridgette Mayer Gallery in 2001. The Gallery has earned a national reputation for finding and cultivating American abstract artists over the last decade and today represents nearly two dozen leading established and emerging artists. A year-long renovation has more than doubled the size of exhibition space, allowing th

e Gallery to introduce international artists, photography and sculpture to its program – including several US premieres in 2012. In addition to monthly shows and special events, Bridgette Mayer Gallery provides art consulting and curates corporate and institutional collections such as Tierney Communications, Temple University’s Fox School of Business, Glenmede Trust Offices in both Philadelphia and New York City and Roche Bobois. Through her fifteen years in running her Gallery business, Bridgette has extensive experience in curating fine art and corporate collections, purchasing art as an investment, buying and selling art on the secondary market and creating public and site-specific artworks for larger projects. The past five years the Gallery has curated a yearly benefit exhibition of 200-300 artworks to help raise funds for selected non-profits in Philadelphia. In addition to fundraising for creative non-profits, Bridgette has been invited to speak on numerous panels and give talks at Universities and Museums on building a career as an artist, collecting contemporary art, investing in art and how to run your own business and be an entrepreneur. A graduate of Bucknell University with a B.A. in Studio Art & Art History, Bridgette was an active member of Bucknell’s Art Board for several years. She has remained active at the University most recently curating an exhibition of contemporary art at the University’s Downtown Gallery and giving a talk to the public. While at Bucknell, Bridgette worked at the Center Gallery (now Samek Gallery) and also did publicity work for Bucknell’s Department of Theater and Dance.

Sometimes, all your room needs is the perfect artwork placement to feel complete. For this client's elegant, contemporary dining room, we found the perfect match in this painting by .rutstein! The painting's creams and grays match beautifully with the existing home design, while the pops of orange and sky blue add some interest and draw the eye to this beautiful showstopping piece.

Great artwork just gets better with time! "Inverted Dislocation" is one of Tim McFarlane's early paintings from 2003, but it still feels brand new to us. I am loving the fresh look of this painting on a grey wall with a beautiful frame, installed in Center City Philadelphia!

Congratulations to , whose work has been acquired by the Clark Atlanta University Art Museum! The CAUAM will add "Some Great Reward" and "Vermilion Shores" to their permanent collection. These two powerful paintings feature many of McFarlane's signature glyphs and abstract mark-making forms. "Some Great Reward" was exhibited in McFarlane's 2021 solo show at Bridgette Mayer Gallery, Walk Sign Is On.

We are thrilled to see Tim's work inspire future generations of artists and scholars 🤍

We are so proud to announce that "The Cardinal" by Neil Anderson has been acquired by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts! Like many of Neil's paintings, "The Cardinal" was inspired by the natural landscape surrounding Neil's rural Pennsylvania home and created through process-driven improvisation in the studio. This gorgeous painting is the perfect fit for a world-class museum, and we hope it inspires visitors for generations to come.

Bridgette Mayer Gallery is thrilled to share that has acquired four new works by ! "The Garden Portal (Stable)" is a colorful, multi-layered painting that engages with Tim's interest in multi-layers systems, overlapping forms, and fractured spaces. "Untitled (White and Gray)," "Phasing Echo," and "Balancing Act" continue Tim's ongoing experiments with grayscale and mixed media drawing.

We are so excited for these beautiful pieces to enter the Zillman's permanent collection, to be enjoyed by Mainers and students at the University of Maine alike!of.maine

Bold, abstract art becomes the focal point of these corporate meeting rooms and enlivens the entire office! Strong shapes and vibrant colors are the perfect fit for these breakout meeting rooms, where different perspectives and ideas come together. I would be so inspired to work alongside paintings made by Philadelphia-area abstract masters in this Philly-based corporate headquarters!

This monochromatic moment in our client's dining room feels so special. 💜 .rutstein's painting looks like it was made to be in this chic modern space, matching perfectly with their dining room chairs and popping against minimalist furniture and a bold Lucite chandelier. Swipe to see an even closer look at the details, including the painting's reflection on the dining room table!

You can activate any space with the right artwork installation! The natural colors in this large-scale, abstract painting provide a welcome breath of fresh air in this university's computer lab. It's always a fun challenge to find the perfect artwork that will complete and enhance a client's space.

We love large art – especially when it is a large woodcut by California based artist Julie Goldstein ()!

Julie had an incredible solo exhibition with the gallery in summer of 2022 called The Sea In Me. She has been doing labor intensive handmade woodcuts for 25 years+ and continues to inspire us with her imagery.

Take a look at this beautiful large-scale woodcut of a woman rowing a boat in the ocean.

We were so pleased that this piece found a special place in the home of a client in Vero Beach, Florida. The lightness and airiness of the white paper in contrast to the woodcuts marks, bright blue hues of the ocean and the black and white of the figure made this the perfect centerpiece on a large wall in a dining room.

There is one print left in the series! Let us know if you want to learn more.

This painting by .art hung above the managers desk at the Ritz Carlton Orlando where I curated a special pop up exhibition for them that went through the end of summer.

Do you know I can curate pop ups and help identify the perfect art for a particular wall and space?

Art can be tricky – I am picky and so are my clients about what they like and what their walls need. Are you looking to brighten a wall? Add nature or create a ‘window’ into the outside world? Do you like abstract art? Figurative art or just don’t quite know? Email me at [email protected] to set up a consult or to talk about your art needs

Talent Tuesday is here! Today we are highlighting one of Philadelphia’s favorite artists, .rutstein.

Rebecca has been represented by the Bridgette Mayer Gallery since 2001 and fun fact: she was the first artist formally signed on by the gallery when they opened their doors in May of 2001! Rebecca was a graduate of and for her MFA . She has done public art projects and sculptures, murals, and private commissioned works over the past 25 years. In this photo she is doing her first public art sculpture project .

We are thrilled that will be exhibiting a survey exhibition of Rebecca’s paintings and sculptures in 2026 and can’t wait to see you there.

Please join us in celebrating this iconic Philadelphia artist .Rutstein as she continues to grow and rise in the incredible impact her art is making in the United States and beyond!
