Pressure Club, in collaboration with Remote Viewing, is pleased to present a new print edition and accompanying solo exhibition by artist and writer, Asha Sheshadri.

Jackson Heights, Queens, is the backdrop for “Montage”; an exercise in decontextualization, reconstruction, and reiteration. The salon-style assemblage is an exploded version of a personal photo archive, obscuring and refocusing on daily life on 72nd & Roosevelt Streets. The “poor images” are subjects of intervention over the past three years, reflecting changes on behalf of their author.

Artist and writer Asha Sheshadri (b. 1986) moves freely between text, video, sound, and photography. These forms flow together to create unpredictable observations of the overlooked, and documents of personal and political networks within our collective and imperfect memory. She currently lives and works in New York.

While RV is on hiatus at the moment, our next show was going to be with Luba Drozd. We had a site visit back on March 1st, which seems so incredibly long ago. Fingers crossed that we can still make it happen.

Remote Viewing is a project space in Philadelphia dedicated to the presentation of contemporary soun
