Arizona Vintage Sign Coalition The Arizona Vintage Sign Coalition works to document, protect, and promote classic neon and vintage signs still in existence in the Grand Canyon State.

If you found a sign, let us know! The Arizona Vintage Sign Coalition was formed to document, protect, and promote classic neon and vintage signs still in existence in the Grand Canyon State. Already Coalition members and friends have undertaken an extensive review of existing signs throughout the state; however, there are many more to be catalogued. The Coalition will provide technical and financi

al assistance to restore Arizona’s vintage signs in partnership with property owners, businesses, public officials, and community organizations. AVSCo Members: Jim Bolek, JRC Design; Jennifer Boucek, Preserve Phoenix; Demion Clinco, Tucson Historic Preservation Foundation; Jacqui Huntoon, Kingman Historic Preservation Commission; Marge Jantz, Casa Grande Historic Preservation Commission; Alison King, Modern Phoenix; Vic Linoff, Mesa Preservation Foundation; Jim McPherson, Arizona Preservation Foundation; Will Novak, Phoenix Historic Neighborhoods Coalition; Donna Reiner, Friends of Phoenix Public Art; Marshall Shore, Retro Spectacular; Douglas Towne, Society for Commercial Archaeology; David Zimmerman, Arizona Department of Transportation

Step back into Arizona’s glowing roadside past at the Casa Grande Neon Sign Park, where restored midcentury neon signs light up historic downtown. Opened in 2019 through a community-driven preservation effort led by Casa Grande Main Street, the park features vintage business signs from the 1950s and ’60s, celebrating the city’s highway-era heritage.

Free and open year-round at 408 N. Sacaton Street, the park has become a favorite evening destination—part public art, part history lesson, and entirely classic Arizona Americana glowing brightly for a new generation to enjoy. Details:

As 2024 draws to a close, the Mesa Preservation Foundation is proud to announce that it has rescued one more Valley iconic neon. Through a generous donation from the family of Ziggy's Music Studio's founder Angelo “Ziggie” Zardus, we are proud to announce that one more historic neon sign has been saved. And once more will return to public display for all to enjoy.
Thanks to Ed Masely, music scene writer at the Arizona Republic for telling the story.

Seven months after the century-old Phoenix business where Duane Eddy bought his signature guitar closed, its classic neon sign is being preserved.
