Tomorrow is the day that the Pickens County Historical Society will observe Confederate Memorial Day in front of the historic Hagood-Mauldin House, which is located at 104 North Lewis Street in Pickens (behind Legacy Square). As previously noted, the ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 16.

Davey Hiott, State Rep. Neal Collins, Lt. Eric Barnes of the South Carolina State Guard, Pickens County Historical Society Senior Vice President Wayne Kelley, and Pickens County America 250 Chair Carolyn Nations.

As with Hood's previous book, Looking for Space: My Pickens Journey, all profits from sales of Pickens Portraits: Volume One will go to the Young Appalachian Musicians (YAM) camp scholarship fund established in memory of his son Ryan.
