Even the katydids are getting into the Barbie Pink.

"There have been a few observations of pink katydids on the Preserve over the past few years. This rare phenomenon is a result of erythrism - a rare genetic mutation that allows for abnormal amounts of red pigment or the absence of normal pigment; in katydids this would be the lack of greens and/or browns." - Megan Napoli, Mohonk Preserve Research Ecologist
