The gallery and frame shop first opened in 1989 under the name ReMich Gallery with Hertrich and Connecticut native Rena Laughlin as partners. The business morphed into La Fond Galleries, with Hertrich still at the helm, and Adelaide and Richard La fond as the owners in 1990. ew look. The gallery’s long established artists are still present, but on entering the space both Hertrich and Manager, Jennifer Marchitelli can be watched assembling custom frames amongst the art. The “new” gallery besides its standard fine quality art and custom framing will also be featuring new artists and events on a regular basis.
