We have moved to San Antonio and no longer are using this page. Our Portland location has closed but we left a little to our 15 year home.. A second site to visit is the Bathtub Art House at NE 46th & Simpson. The BAH is in the front yard of a house, and you must enter through the tub to see exhibits inside (not usually related to bathtub art). Visitors welcome during daylight hours.

Been quiet since we moved to Pittsburgh, maybe in 2025 we will start sharing more fun bathtub art and videos!

We've got some Bathtub films on our movie list now! Thanks to The Guardian for this round up! Most movies seem to have a tub scene if you start to pay attention!

At the Golden Globes last Sunday, candles were passed around reportedly smelling like Jacob Elordi’s bathwater in the now-notorious scene from Saltburn. But how does that sequence compare with the splashy competition?

Hey all, the collection is officially located in Pittsburgh, PA now! The collection moved from San Antonio in the spring of 2021. We like it here but the museum is currently not on view publicly but keeping an eye out for any pop-up opportunities!

We are officially closed as a Museum/collection to visit in Portland Oregon.

Next week the Bathtub Art Museum collection and curator are heading to San Antonio TX. This page will no longer be used for correspondence. In the next season or so we'll get something up about the museum's next moves at www.caryebye.com (currently a place holder).

In Portland, we have left a little treat, the Bathtub Art Museum house is now part of a folk art site at NE 46th and Simpson. Stop on by during daylight hours to see what's going on!

Movies and Tubs go hand and hand. I saw this poster for "Sisters" and thought it was just a promo shot, but there is a bathtub scene with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler reading their childhood diaries in the tub. Super great!

We can't wait to be in the same town as the legendary Barney Smith's Toilet Seat Art Museum-- our upcoming relocation to San Antonio is in the papers now so it's pretty official. February is the last month in Portland, Oregon.

From the SE Examiner- Feb 2016:

"THE BATHTUB ART MUSEUM is saying goodbye to Portland with a final show on February 5. The show is called Bathlandia and features mail art postcards about bathtubs at 211 SE Madison #20.from 6 to 9 pm. The Zymoglyphic Museum that shares the studio will be taking over and expanding but the Bathtub Art Museum is moving to San Antonio, Texas to join Barney Smith’s Toilet Seat Art Museum, a match made in heaven. The Red Bat Press will also be moving to Texas and hosts the Leaping out of Portland Sale Feb 27-29 noon to 5 pm and Feb 29 (Monday),10 am to 2 pm. The press has been around since 2002 and was started by artist Carye Bye. redbatpress.com."
