21+ Night - Carnivorous Bog Gardens!

Date: May 15 • 19:00

Carnivorous plants have a reputation for being difficult to grow, but they can actually be low maintenance when you know what to do!
In this workshop, Dave Harter will lead us through the basics of carnivorous plants' often finicky needs. This will include the plants' special water, soil, and light requirements. We will also go over slightly more intermediate subjects such as winter dormancy and when/how to feed your plant. Attendees will build and take home their own small bog garden with three carnivorous plants, along with a plant light and everything else you'll need keep them thriving!

Assemble's Unblurred Gallery presents the work of Setuk in his show, Extrasensory Psychosis. Join us this First Friday 5/1 on Penn Ave, 6-10 pm, for an evening of black-lit paintings and interactive light experiences!

Setuk Raymond Gregoire is known for exploring applications of synesthesia and experimental painting. Through a combination of techniques, he captures the "images" of sounds, merging them to create new expressions. A self-taught artist based in West Virginia, Setuk's work ranges many styles as he is dedicated to versatility in expression.

This series - Extrasensory Psychosis - is an exploration of the emotions experienced by those affected by mental illness. Each piece is composed, pushing the boundaries between a layered, composite style and his synesthesia technique, all centered around evoking emotion in the viewer.

Last week's Sundae Sunday was such a blast, huge shoutout to Leona's Ice Cream and all the wonderful unicorns who showed up to help support Assemble's mission.

Every Sundae counts this month, and this past Sunday Leona's sold 64 Sundaes!
However, there's only one more Sunday left to support Assemble at Leona's and we are so close to raising $500!

So this Draft Weekend take a break from the bustle downtown and make your way to 5119 Penn Ave and get yourself a birthday cake flavored treat and help us reach our goal 🦄🍦🎂🦄

Dear Assemblers,
Due to PPS' asynchronous learning days Afterschool at Assemble will be cancelled this Wednesday April 22nd and Thursday April 23rd, As well as Saturday Crafternoons this upcoming Saturday April 25th. Our Gallery will be open as planned.
