Hello dear clients, we miss you! Sorry for the radio silence, we’ve been working on the shop and trying to stay sane just like the rest of yinz! Unfortunately we are to remain closed until Allegheny County gets the green light. Each artist handles their own booking and may have preferences on how they rebook so please hang tight if you had an appointment that was cancelled. We’re all doing our best!
In the meantime if you’d like to support the shop or your favorite artist please purchase some of their beautiful art or a gift certificate for future sessions. Check out our artists individual Instagram pages for purchasing info — , , , , .🖤

In response to the spread of COVID 19 virus we at Artisan are taking the utmost precautions for everyone’s health. We already practice health department standards for cleanliness and sterility, and practice safe procedures to prevent cross contamination. Now we are taking a few more precautions to help stop the spread of the virus.

If you are sick, are showing flu like symptoms , or have come into contact with anyone who is sick or has travelled to an affected area, we ask that you PLEASE RESCHEDULE any appointment you have in the next few weeks. If you show up to your appointment sick, we will unfortunately have to send you home.

If you have an appointment, please refrain from bringing friends or family with you. Minimizing the amount of people in the shop at all times is our goal, as social distancing is a proven way to stop the spread of this virus.

We appreciate everyone’s help in doing their part in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Please be adamant about washing your hands, covering your mouth when sneezing/coughing, and of course, being kind and taking care of one another during this trying time. 🖤💀🤍💀🖤

They grew up in NYC, but currently reside in Pittsburgh where they have been working on their music, visual art and many other projects. Our Story

Artisan was started in 2011 when they bought an abandoned structure on Penn Ave that needed a whole lot of love. Over a period of two years, they built what is now Artisan.

First it was a tattoo shop and art gallery, but they always dreamed of more. It was a big building; they wanted a coffee shop, maybe a store. They wanted Artisan to be a collective of artists and businesses, a space to bring people together in the community.

Tyler Bryan opened the Artisan Cafe in May of 2016, on the first floor of the building. We have a seating area open with wifi for you to just sit back drink amazing coffee and relax.We also have a fully stocked Boutique on the first floor with a collection of local goods, accessories, patches and prints as well as small independent makers from all over the world.

Artisan is a safe space free of hate, racism, s*xism, and homophobia. We are a body positive & s*x positive inclusive environment where all are welcome.
