My current interests in pottery include black and white botanical prints, silhouettes, and deeply carved plates and bowls in a metallic finishes. I discovered that I could do bone carving by picking up a bone and carving it one day. Most of the bones that I've carved have come from deer that were killed by coyotes in the woods near my home, although people have been known to stop by the house and present me with a bag of bones on occasion. My newest projects incorporate both of these art forms.

Hey Pittsburghers! My fall private pottery lessons are now open for booking:

Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 2-8 pm
Fridays & Saturdays: 12-8 pm

Sign up for a "Try It!" Class (90 min--beginning level) or a package of 4 classes, which includes 4 lessons, clay, glazes, tools, firings, and practice time between lessons. My schedule is quite flexible with afternoon, evening, and weekend hours.
