🏆 CONGRATULATIONS, Emmai Alaquiva!

A HUGE congratulations to Pittsburgh’s own Emmai Alaquiva on an incredible win at the 17th Annual Oscar-Qualifying BronzeLens Film Festival! 🎉

The Ebony Canal has been named Best Short Documentary, a powerful recognition for a film created to illuminate, educate and amplify the voices and experiences of Black women.

Emmai continues to prove what happens when purpose, storytelling and art come together. This isn’t just a win for an incredible filmmaker, it’s a win for the courageous women who shared their stories and for a message that deserves to be seen and heard around the world.

Pittsburgh is PROUD! 🥹

Congratulations, Emmai, and the entire THE EBONY CANAL team! Keep telling the stories that matter and shifting culture along the way.
