Who are the people always sitting in the gallery and what are they doing? If you ever walk past the gallery and see someone sitting at the desk, you’re looking at one of our interns! One of the responsibilities of a gallery intern is to “gallery sit.” We keep an eye on the exhibition and we’re available if you have any questions!

If you ever see someone sitting at the desk that means we’re open, stop in and say hi!

We’re excited to introduce the next installation at the Carlow University Art Gallery! Now through April 2025, we’ll be showcasing “the name the words the memory” by Lena Chen and C. Ryu. This exhibit is in collaboration with  to amplify the voices of Asian American authors on our campus. The installation itself features excerpts from poems and novels, and includes a reading nook to give people a space to immerse themselves in the literature.

You can stop by the gallery anytime the doors are open, or find our updated hours in our bio. Feel free to stop by on your own, or encourage your professors to bring the whole class!

You may have noticed some changes in the gallery these last few weeks. The new exhibition means the gallery gets a fresh coat of paint, the middle wall gets moved and banners are getting set up. We aren’t quite finished, but keep an eye out for info on the new installation!

We’re in the process of deinstalling Erin Mallea’s Permissible Dose, and moving in our next exhibit! This, unfortunately, means that the gallery is closed to visitors until further notice.
