Our mission is to honor our veterans and tell their stories through our collection of artifacts.

The mission of the Pike County All Wars Museum is to establish and maintain a collection of military artifacts in a manner that not only preserves their value, but also represents the many stories of sacrifice, heroism, and reality regarding war and the full cost of freedom.

Pike County All Wars Museum – Summer Series Presentation
Sunday, August 17, 2025 – 2:00 PM
The Pike County All Wars Museum will host its next Summer Series Presentation on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
Guest Speaker: Cleve Barkley, author of In Death’s Dark Shadow: A Soldier’s Story, which chronicles his father Harold Barkley’s service as an infantryman in the European Theater of World War II. Barkley has also contributed to WWII History, a nationally distributed magazine recognized as “the foremost authority on the greatest war in history.”
In addition to his writing, Barkley has helped create a World War II study guide for students in Minnesota and assisted noted author Charles Glass in researching his book The Deserters: A Hidden History of World War II. Cleve and his wife, Lois, are residents of Quincy, Illinois.
