Last week, we celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony with the support of the Platteville Regional Chamber. The festivities kicked off with a couple of tours of our spaces. Wayne Wodarz with the Platteville Regional Chamber and Bill Mitchell, the Ripple Artspace Gallery Director, shared a few words before exchanging a certificate. Afterward, many of our friends joined us outside the gallery to cut the ribbon.

Our monthly Maker’s Night also took place late into the evening. We were so glad to welcome so many new and returning faces!

Enough can’t be said for all those who supported us along the way and to those who put in the months of work to make our rebranding project possible. Thank you for your support and your commitment to connecting through creativity!

We are so grateful for all the support last Friday evening during the opening reception of The Ruralists! What a great show as our first reception under the Ripple Artspace name! A big THANK YOU goes to Mary Bergs for curating this show, and congratulations to Logan Baird for making his solo show debut of dystopian landscape sketches in the upper space gallery.

The celebration of our new name and logo continues this Thursday. We’ll be hosting a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the Platteville Regional Chamber on May 21 from 4:30–5:30 p.m. The ribbon will be cut at 5:15 p.m. This is a great time to tour the gallery and learn about our monthly Maker’s Night!

Gallery Director Bill Mitchell has been working with student tech and art student Avah Feucht at the Huff Family Innovation Center on the University of Wisconsin-Platteville campus to develop the new Ripple Artspace signage for the gallery! Here they are cutting aluminum on a CNC router for the sign that will be on the front of building. They also made a vinyl decal for the windows that you can see by our Main Street entrance now.

We can’t wait to share these new signs with you! Come celebrate our new Ripple Artspace rebrand tonight during the opening reception of The Ruralists from 4–7 PM! Remarks about the show and the Ripple Artspace rebrand will begin at 5:30 p.m.
