Alexander Hamilton
Born in 1755, Hamilton came to America from the West Indies to attend college. When War broke out, he joined the militia & became a captain of artillery. He joined Washington's staff, was a member of the Continental Congress, and was an author of the Federalist Papers. He died in 1804, in one of the most famous duels against his rival Aaron Burr.
