TLC Creations Beauty from Brokenness
I'm a Detroit-area mosaicist who enjoys creating by breaking things and creating something new.

I have always loved jigsaw puzzles, and creating mosaic art is akin to designing a puzzle and then making it with bits and pieces.

This sort of thing will never not be thrilling to me. So honored and thankful for PARC - Plymouth Arts & Recreation Complex and the PARC Art Gallery for the opportunity and sense of community for artists. This sign is on Main St.

Monet’s Pond and many other works of art are available for viewing 9 am to 9 pm daily at PARC in downtown Plymouth until early December.(Hallway right outside the gym.) I hope you’ll stop by! Maybe even find a unique gift for someone (or you).

A new glass mosaic that also incorporates fabric and embroidery. “Breaking Gilead” is a 12”x12” piece designed to inspire action and provoke thought.
Inspired by illustration by Noma Bar and by one of my favorite authors, Margaret Atwood.

Introducing “Monet’s Pond,” a new glass mosaic based on a photo taken by my friend Alessandra in Giverny (see comments). This 12” x 12” framed piece features dozens of colors and textures to provide depth and capture light. It will head to a few gallery shows soon, and it is for sale. A little more work to do to perfect it. This one is worth seeing in person!

Delighted and honored to have this piece featured in the PARC Gallery “Windows” exhibit. (Art was to reflect/depict what one might see peeking in the windows of the arts and rec center.) It features 17 shades of blue glass, including iridescent glass and 14-kt gold foil glass, plus glitter grout.

I invite you to visit the exhibit and see all the beautiful work. The gallery is open daily, and admission is free.
