Hemmerling Gallery of Southern Art

Hemmerling Gallery of Southern Art WELCOME TO THE HEMMERLING GALLERY OF SOUTHERN ART! The Hemmerling Gallery of Southern Art features the art of the late folk
artist, Bill Hemmerling.

It showcases his limited edition giclees as well
as originals that have come back on the market since his death. Bill did not paint on canvas but instead painted on recycled materials such as old
doors, screens, tin, wood, etc. He mostly painted with house paint
painting famous people, musicians, spirituality, and his most famous
collection of an african american woman named Sweet Olive. Also feat

ured in the gallery is Kalle, Hemmerling's apprentice. He paints
in the same style, but mostly children. Very uplifting. Kip Hayes also paints on recycled materials and paints many of his farm
life memories from his childhood. Come by to visit us at 477 SW Railroad Ave, Ponchatoula, LA 70454
