The block party at Ryburn Place in Normal had been rescheduled for this Saturday, September 5! Don’t miss it!

GOING TO BE IN OR NEAR NORMAL, ILLINOIS ON SEPTEMBER 5?

YES! The parking lot party/dance has been rescheduled! No one was more disappointted than I was to have to cancel the previous date because of weather.)

You are invited to Ryburn Place at Sprague's Super Service, 305 Pine Street in Normal 6-9pm on Saturday, Sept. 5 for a Route 66 Centennial Parking Lot Party featuring the rockabilly stylings of Union Avenue.

Ryburn Place Gifts and Gab will be open for shopping, check out our brand-new Route 66 mural.

We’ll have limited seating options, so bring a bag chair to guarantee your spot. Parking will be available on the street, so get here early and please respect our neighbors.

Beginning September 1st, screenings of the new Route 66 documentary will held in various locations along the Route, including live Q&A with filmmaker John Paget.

Route 66 Association of Illinois Annual Picnic

August 9 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm CDT

All are cordially invited to attend our annual Association picnic on Sunday, August 9, 2026 to be held at the main pavilion of the beautiful park in Godley, IL, at 500 S. Kankakee Street (right off Route 66), starting at 10:00 a.m.

Catered lunch will be served at noon, followed by bingo at 2:00 p.m.

Our picnic is free of charge; the Association provides food, water, iced tea, and lemonade. You may bring any other soft drink; no alcohol is permitted. Feel free to bring an appetizer or dessert to share if you’d like.
