Vintage Wings and Wheels Museum The Mission of the Poplar Grove Vintage Wings & Wheels Museum is to preserve and promote transportation history through education and community involvement.

Our museum campus has an assortment of historical buildings. The queen of the campus is the Waukesha Hangar, a reclaimed 1937 airplane hangar which houses our unique museum. Outside you can also visit our historic Slim's Garage, "fill up" at our historic Sunoco Gas Station, or just take in the beauty of our pastoral landscape while experiencing the thrill of airplanes taking off nearby. ✈️ Ready for takeoff this summer? Registration is open for Air Academy at Wings & Wheels Museum, and there are still a few spaces left!

Designed for middle school students, Air Academy is a hands-on aviation experience where campers will explore the exciting world of flight through activities like:

🛩️ Aerodynamics & glider building
🔧 Aircraft mechanics & maintenance
🚁 Drones & aviation technology
📡 Air traffic control & flight operations
👨‍✈️ Guest speakers from the aviation industry
…and so much more!

Campers won’t just learn about aviation — they’ll experience it firsthand at our active airport campus at C77 Poplar Grove Airport.

Whether your child dreams of becoming a pilot, mechanic, engineer, or simply loves airplanes, Air Academy is an unforgettable summer adventure!
