Here it is! Blue Water Area Transit's new aquamarine trolley was inaugurated and put into service on July 2nd. The new trolley ( #5) was designed and manufactured by Home Town Trolley Company of Crandon, Wisconsin. Hometown began designing to Blue Water’s specifications – including being low-floor and fully ADA compliant -- in April of 2018 and began construction in November. After a brief manufacturing respite due to a collapsed roof from winter snows at their manufacturing facility, it was completed and driven to Blue Water Transit in June. The new trolley was paid for in full by a Federal CMAQ Grant. And the best news: the narrated 1-hour tour is STILL only 10 cents! For more information, visit our website (bwbus.com) or pick up a brochure at our Downtown Transit Bus Center.
